STARS Golf Society: Connecting Golfers in the Technology Industry
Join us at golf events that promote networking across the technology industry and support important charity initiatives.

Join us at golf events that promote networking across the technology industry and support important charity initiatives.

The STARS Golf Society was established to unite golfers across the entire technology industry - with the name representing Software, Technology, Analytics, Recruitment, and Services (including the technology/management consulting, media, and channel/reseller sectors too).
Our mission is to foster a professional but informal atmosphere for networking, where professionals can connect through golf events, engage in friendly competition, have some fun, and support charity initiatives along the way.

We look for venues that make it inclusive for golfers of all playing abilities. Our goal is to find locations that attract all types of golfers, within easy reach for most, and offering a suitable challenge without adding to the difficulties of the game we love. We also aim to book venues that provide excellent networking opportunities within the technology industry, ensuring that even if you are having a bad day at the office, you can enjoy a pleasant walk on the course!

"We have been so lucky with weather and our most recent event was no different"
This was the opening line from our event summary in October and we've managed to do it again! Warmest day of the year, glorious sunshine all day, and yet more new faces joining us at Ashridge Golf Club in Hertfordshire.
We had players travelling from Manchester, Cambridge and even one flying in from Milan on the morning of the day, and we are grateful to all those that made the effort.
Our society organiser Simon Bennett (Qlik) managed to take home an impressive haul, despite continually saying he is still recovering from shoulder surgery and back issues. Steve Kemish (IMG), Jeremy Straker (Amplience), Noorudin Chamadia (DLL) and Simon won the team event by 1 point. Simon also won the Singles event on count back, pipping one of the previous winners Jeremy Straker (Amplience), and David Dedicoat (Cisco), into 2nd and 3rd place respectively. Tom James (Bray Pharma) won the Longest Drive prize, and Derek Gibson (JLL) won the Nearest The Pin prize.
Another memorable day for networking and camaraderie, finished off with the fantastic lunch served up by Ashridge GC. We will be back!
Congratulations to all of the silent auction winners below:
Dale Archer (WPP)
Detelina Markova (Salesforce)

We hope you enjoy your golf vouchers, food hamper, and Aston Martin F1 goodie bags. And thanks again to Ken Cotter for helping source the auction prizes.
Thanks to all those that bid, and donated separately. We have managed to raise £1000 for Sunnyside Rural Trust, a fantastic local charity that is also supported by DLL.
